About Home of Light & Love Foundation

About Us

Restoring hope among vulnerable children, widows, and forgotten members of society.

Our Story
Founded in 2023

Our Story

The work began long before formal registration. It started with Elizabeth Wendot — affectionately known as Mum Lisa — personally visiting widows and street children in her community, sharing food, prayer, and love from her own pocket.

As the need grew, Victor Kemboi joined the efforts in Kenya, bringing coordination and local expertise. From across the world, Nigel Williams provided international support and partnership guidance from the United Kingdom.

Together, they made the decision to formalize the work in 2023, creating Home of Light & Love Foundation to widen their reach, ensure accountability, and create sustainable impact for those they serve.

Our Mission

To restore hope daily through free healthcare, feeding programs, community outreach, pastoral care, and partnerships with homes and institutions, bringing the light and love of Christ to every community we enter.

Our Vision

To see a Kenya — and ultimately an East Africa — where no child goes to bed hungry, no widow is forgotten, no sick person goes untreated, and every vulnerable person has access to love, dignity, and a genuine chance at a restored life.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."

— James 1:27

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Faith

God is at the center of everything we do. Every camp, every meal, every prayer is an act of faith.

Dignity

Every person we serve is made in the image of God. We serve without condescension, without conditions, and without discrimination.

Compassion

We go where the need is greatest. We do not wait for people to come to us — we go to them.

Integrity

We are accountable to God, to our beneficiaries, and to our supporters. Every resource is handled with full transparency.

Community

We believe in the power of people coming together — volunteers, donors, churches, and institutions united around a common calling.

Excellence

Whether organizing a camp for 200 or visiting a single widow, we bring our full commitment to quality and care.
